High Assembly (Low) HGL-CA/HA Series Linear Guideway

High Assembly (Low) HGL-CA/HA Series Linear Guideway

The High Assembly (Low) HGL-CA/HA Series Linear Guideway reveals its dual characteristics: it inherits the internally reinforced structure and high-performance genes of the high-assembly type (HGH series), but optimizes its external profile, achieving a lower overall slider height than traditional high-assembly types. This design provides a better balance for applications where both space and performance are critical, such as robotic arms, compact machining units, and high-end automation equipment.

Technology

The HGL series Linear Guideway strikes a clever balance between performance and space, positioning.

Performance Dimensions HGL-CA/HA Series (High-Assembly – Low) HGH-CA/HA Series (Traditional High-Rise Configuration) EGH-CA/SA Series (Standard Low Profile) Core Values
Core Positioning The master of balancing performance and space. Achieves a lower installation height whilst delivering performance close to that of high-assembly models. The benchmark for high performance, designed for extreme performance. The space-saving specialist, designed for ultimate compactness. The preferred choice for compact designs where performance compromises are to be minimised.
Structural Features Optimised high-profile structure. Reduces the total height by minimising material in non-load-bearing sections, whilst maintaining a highly rigid internal design (such as reinforced ball rows and large-diameter balls). Standard high-rise configuration with ample internal space. Specialised low-profile design minimises overall height. Within a limited range of height reduction, the core performance of the high-profile assembly is retained to the greatest extent possible.
Load Capacity and Rigidity High. Its load capacity and rigidity are significantly superior to those of low-profile models (EGH) of the same specification, coming very close to traditional high-profile models (HGH). Extremely high. Excellent. Offers excellent value for money by achieving a significant reduction in height in exchange for a minimal compromise in performance.
Installation Height Low. The overall height (H) lies between that of traditional high-profile and low-profile models, effectively lowering the centre of gravity and overall height of the moving parts of the equipment. Relatively high. Lowest. Provides a new trade-off for equipment miniaturisation and stability design.
Suitable Applications High-speed robotic arms, Z-axes of medium-sized machining centres, precision assembly modules, and performance-oriented equipment with limited space. Large machining centres, heavy-duty automation. Small-scale automation, electronic equipment, and lightweight instruments. Fills the niche market for applications requiring high performance but with limited space.

Main Technical Parameters and Design
1. Design Concept: Following the principle of "form follows function," the high-assembly slider undergoes topological optimization. While ensuring the strength of the ball circulation system, sealing system, and mounting structure, excess material is removed to achieve lightweighting and reduced height.
2. Performance Retention:  Typically retains the four-way equal load design and the same accuracy grade options. Preload levels may also be comparable to the high-assembly type to ensure rigidity.
3. Selection Guidance:
When design is limited by installation height, but the standard low-assembly type (EGH) is considered insufficient in rigidity or load capacity, the HGL series is the ideal upgrade option.
It can be considered a "compact version" of the HGH series or an "enhanced version" of the EGH series.

Typical Applications
The HGL-CA/HA series is ideal for the following applications that demand high performance density:
Industrial Robots: Arm guide axes for six-axis articulated robots and SCARA robots, requiring high rigidity in confined spaces to maintain end-effector accuracy.
Compact CNC Equipment: Z-axis of small vertical machining centers and engraving machines, reducing spindle head height to improve rigidity and save space.
Precision Inspection and Assembly: Mobile units for automated optical inspection (AOI) equipment and precision press-fitting equipment.
Semiconductor Peripheral Equipment: Motion axes requiring fast response and precise positioning in packaging and testing sorting machines and dispensing machines.

The High Assembly (Low) HGL-CA/HA Series Linear Guideway is a product that embodies refined market segmentation and engineering optimization thinking. It does not pursue the ultimate performance in any single aspect, but instead strives to achieve a balance across multiple key customer requirements, such as performance, rigidity, and installation space.
