Flange Design Circular flange. The flange diameter is typically slightly larger than the bearing outer diameter, with mounting holes evenly distributed around the circumference. Square or rectangular flanges. The flange area is significantly larger than the bearing outer diameter, with mounting holes provided at the four corners or at multiple positions. The flange shape determines the force distribution across the mounting surface and the torque resistance capacity.

Large radial dimensions (flange width) require a larger mounting surface, but the thickness (axial) may be reduced. The K-type requires a larger ‘footprint’, but provides ‘rock-solid’ stability.

SDMK-UU linear bearing (square flange): Suitable for heavy-duty precision applications with heavy loads, long cantilevers, and where motion posture must be absolutely stable, such as the Z-axis spindle head of large coordinate measuring machines, the lifting mechanism of heavy-duty dispensing valves, and heavy modules in semiconductor equipment.
