Structure and Function A one-piece cylindrical bushing. Sealed at both ends (UU), this is the most basic and commonly used type. Features an integrated axial adjustment screw. Adjustment eliminates internal raceway clearance to achieve zero-backlash preload. The outer sleeve features an axial slit. By tightening the locking screw, the outer diameter is reduced, eliminating clearance with the mounting hole and preventing rotation. AJ optimises internal motion precision, whilst OP optimises external mounting reliability.

The LM-UU is the ‘foundation’, the LM-AJ/UU is the ‘precision engineering’, and the LM-OP-UU is the ‘securing solution’.
Installation Requirements Requires a high degree of precision in the mounting bore (H7 grade is generally recommended) to ensure a precise fit. Mounting hole accuracy requirements are the same as for LM-UU; fine adjustment is possible after installation. Requires only loose tolerances for the mounting bore (even through-holes may be used); relies on clamping force for fixation, offering high tolerance. When high-precision mounting holes cannot be guaranteed, the OP series is the optimal choice.
Rigidity Performance Generally, this depends on the fit tolerance. High rigidity, adjustable to zero backlash, with consistent rigidity in both directions. High radial clamping provides additional support, resulting in outstanding torsional rigidity. In applications involving cantilevered loads or vibration, the rigidity advantages of the AJ and OP series are evident.

1. Standards and Compatibility:
The LM series conforms to JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) dimensions. Its outer diameter (D) and length (L) are fully interchangeable with mainstream global brands (such as INA and THK's equivalent models), ensuring unparalleled versatility.
2. Materials and Construction:
Outer cylinder: High-carbon chromium bearing steel (SUJ2), surface hardened for wear resistance.
Retainer: Standard models mostly use engineering plastics, but steel retainers (LM..SC type) are also available to meet high-speed requirements.
